Leap Year 2008, Dad turns 19!

Special moments...special times, create special memories for life!

Once every four years we get to celebrate the birthday of a man so special and dear to us all! A man who raised 5 children, who think the world of him! We call him Dad. We surprised him, tho he knew... but he didn't know the details, or how well it was all planned out. Meticulously planned, down to the last detail. The planning began almost a year ago. And how those plans changed right up until that very Friday. But, it all turned out exactly the way it was supposed to. Everyone flowed right along with the changing plans, like it was all meant to be that way! Carolyn...you held up like a trooper!! You didn't sweat the changes, you kept on smiling, thankyou!

Our family....each so different, yet so tight! We love each other like crazy! We love to celebrate!! We love to surprise each other! There are stories Dad tells, to the grandkids about his kids...how this one did this or that, each with a lesson. Then there's the ribbing, and Dad likes nothing more than a quick come back! His intent is to get a quick response, and sometimes he's even surprised by the comebacks of the grandchildren. Once again, we laughed so hard our stomachs hurt!

Our Gifts....each special, each with our own thoughts, of what Dad would like. Some sentimental, so much so, our eyes melted into tears, our heart humbled, so full of love. Some full of fun, food and sweetness! The greatest gift I believe that Dad received was all of his children, gathered in the livingroom, with love showering down on him! We love our Dad so much!

The time went so quickly, but we sure enjoyed every moment we had together! I am so Thankful for my family, and for God hand picking who they would be! Our God is an Awesome God!

Persecuted Christians in Orissa, India

How to Help

Dear Team,

I have just spoken with Brown Naik on how we can best support our Christian brothers and sisters in Orissa at this time of extreme persecution. Of course, he says to pray, pray, pray. Also, however, there are financial needs for those who have been burned out of their homes and have fled to the jungles and other locations. Any financial gifts would be used for food and clothing for these displaced Christians.

Please make any checks out to "Union Center United Methodist Church" and place "India Project" in the memo line.
