The Reason For The Season

Rejoice Says The Spirit
Praise God Says Me
For The Lord Is With You
To Set You Free

Now Christmas Is The Season
That Wondrous Time Of Year
That Fills Our Hearts With Laughter
And Brings Us Lots Of Cheer

The Time Of Year Reminds Us
Of Things So Long Ago
A Boy Child In A Manger
That Saved A World From Woe

His Loving Spirit Thrills Us
With A Joy Beyond Compare
And The Angels Golden Chorus
Moves Softly On The Air

To Celebrate A Savoir
That Saved A World From Sin
God Sent His Only Son
So All His Children Win

A Loving Savior Calls Us
Come And Follow Me
There’s A Land Of Milk and Honey
A Place We Can Be Free

It’s Not About The Things We Have
But What We Give Away
The Greatest Gift Is Love
That’s What Jesus Came To Say

His Love Is Freely Given
It Doesn’t Have A Price
A Sparkling Golden Treasure
A Very Precious Spice

So If Only We’ll Remember
Throughout The Coming Year
The Message Felt At Christmas
Our God Is Very Near

The New Year Will Different
Our Troubles Not So Bad
For The Lord Is Here To Help Us
And Make Our Spirits Glad
