Today is Thankful Thursday. Won't you join in with Iris, and exalt the LORD with us!!
I am very Thankful for my family who encourage me when I'm down, overwhelmed, worn out, weary, and doing the ugly cry. They challenge me with the very words I use to challenge them (so not fair), but right. And God does the same. He challenges me with His very WORD....
Phil 2:5 Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus.
But how...show me how LORD! And He did, and he does!SURRENDER.....
Hold those things and people you love....LOOSELY. (The Lord revealed to me some things in this life I am holding onto too tightly, trying to control)
I am very Thankful for the surrender, and the peace that finally came.
I am very Thankful for even in my darkness...His light leads the way.
I am very Thankful for the sacrifice of praise.
GOD is BIG ENOUGH...
to Care
to Forgive
to Save
to Restore
to Renew
to Heal
to Protect
to Hear
to Answer

Just browsing through your older posts...and you are so right about learning to let things go!
This has been a very hard lesson for me to learn. But, the peace that comes with trusting God, and truly letting go...especially of the ones we love...is so worth it!
